The Newbury & District Agricultural Society are preparing for an exciting weekend as the Royal County of Berkshire Show returns on the 15th and 16th September.

This year, organisers are looking forward to showcasing many new attractions and activities as well as some changes that visitors will find refreshing. The biggest new addition is that dogs are welcome to the Showground, and with the introduction of a Dog Zone, there will be plenty for your furry friends to enjoy!

Organisers will be welcoming back the amazing Bolddog Lings motorbike stunt team, and a spectacular display of farming and machinery spanning 100 years since the end of the First World War will top the bill in the Main Arena.

Visitors can expect a wide variety of fun ‘have-a-go’ activities across the showground; from helping a blacksmith make a pointer, sitting in a working combine harvester, petting animals down on the farm, to making your own button hole, trying out the many sports activities in the Sports Zone and even having your selfie taken with a real unicorn! They’ll be something for all the family to enjoy.

And of course Jack Straws Baskets will be exhibiting! We’d love to see you so please come along.
